Autism & Parent Support Advisor
Autism & Parent Support Advisor
As an autism & parent support advisor with over 10 years of experience in SEN and a background working for an autism charity supporting parents, I understand the challenges and triumphs that come with supporting neurodivergent children and their families. I have worked 1-1 with neurodivergent children and young people, both in and outside of the school environment, I'm currently working as an independent SEN mentor for the Local Authority and hold a complete SEND diploma. I also have an amazing 17-year-old autistic son, whom I home educated for over 3 years due to the barriers to education he faced. I myself, am also neurodivergent. I feel this gives me not only a professional perspective on the complexities of navigating this journey, but also an empathetic and personal one too.
My approach is grounded in understanding, compassion, patience and a deep commitment to empowering families, enabling them to live authentic, happy and fulfilled lives. I aim to provide tailored guidance, practical strategies, and emotional support, ensuring that each family I work with feels understood and equipped to help their child thrive. I am passionate about making a positive, lasting difference in the lives of every neurodiverse family I go on a journey with.
